Cost of outsourcing is a major factor in any decision-making process. India is an extremely low cost environment by western standards, but Indian standards have also lagged behind western expectations. At some point, the accelerated development of Indian infrastructure and science and general globalization of resources will mean that standards will become acceptable. Can we identify this ‘tipping-point’ and so take advantage of a window of opportunity when standards are acceptable but costs are still behind western norms?
